1 Injured In Lawrence Co. Construction Zone Crash
MAHONING TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – One person suffered minor injuries in a construction zone accident in Lawrence County Tuesday morning.
According to police, a truck drove over some railroad tracks and hit a bridge pier on Route 224 in Mahoning Township.
Investigators believe the accident happened around 1 a.m., but crews did not get the call until just before 6 a.m.
Police said the driver was apparently able to get out of his car, but he couldn't get back to the highway to alert anyone.
Medics took him to the hospital, but his injuries are not believed to be serious.
