Jerry Sandusky's Adopted Son Prepared To Testify Against Him

BELLEFONTE (KDKA/AP) -- Had Jerry Sandusky took the stand, a bomb shell could have been delivered in court.

Jerry Sandusky's adopted son, 33-year-old Matt Sandusky, says he was sexually abused by Sandusky and was prepared to testify to that.

He was adopted by Jerry and Dottie Sandusky as an adult after going to live with the family as a foster child.

Matt Sandusky's lawyers released a statement.

"During the trial, Matt Sandusky contacted us and requested our advice and assistance in arranging a meeting with prosecutors to disclose for the first time in this case that he is a victim of Jerry Sandusky's abuse," Andrew Shubin and Justine Andronici wrote in the statement. "At Matt's request, we immediately arranged a meeting between him and the prosecutors and investigators."

Matt Sandusky says it has been an extremely painful experience.
