PINE TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — State police say a Florida man was killed when his vehicle lost control and overturned several times early this morning in Indiana County.

The one-vehicle crash happened around 5:15 a.m. along Route 422 in Pine Township.

Authorities have not identified the victim, but say he is 21-years-old and from Tampa, Fla.

According to state police, the victim’s 2004 Dodge Ram was headed east on Route 422 when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the road.

State police say the vehicle went out of control, up an embankment, crossed both lanes, hit the guardrail and then flipped several times before stopping.

The victim was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation by state police in Indiana County.
