Road Work Planned This Weekend For Portal Bridge & Bathtub
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Another weekend, another round of road construction that could cause traffic problems for drivers in the city of Pittsburgh.
The inbound lanes of the Parkway East in what's known as the Bathtub will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday until noon on Saturday.
It's part of ongoing construction work there.
While the closure isn't long and happens overnight, it could pose a problem for people heading to the Pirates' game Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m.
Also, PennDOT will work on the northbound "Portal Bridge," which is the connector between the inbound Fort Pitt Bridge and the outbound Fort Duquesne Bridge.
Traffic will be detoured through the West End.
