Root Sports Host Breaks Down Bucs' Success
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - The Pirates are seven games above .500 and will try to match their highest winning percentage since 1992 with a win tonight against the Astros. To talk about the Bucs, the Fan Morning Show talked to Rob King from Root Sports.
The guys start by talking about top offensive prospect, Starling Marte. Rob says that, with the way Marte has been playing in Triple-A ball, he should be seen on the Pirates' Major League roster soon.
The starting pitching may have fallen off slightly from how dominant it was earlier in the season, but, the Pirates have been one of the best hitting teams in baseball since June 1. The balance in power with the Bucs is what Rob thinks is the reason for the Pirates jumping out to seven games over .500.
