2 Injured In Separate McKeesport Shootings

MCKEESPORT (KDKA) – Two people were injured in separate shootings in McKeesport early Friday morning.

According to police, the first shooting happened near the intersection of Versailles Avenue and Pirl Street around 1:05 a.m.

A 20-year-old man was shot multiple times while in his car, which rolled back into the intersection after the shooting.

The victim was shot in the head and several other parts of his body. When paramedics arrived, it was assessed that he was in very critical condition and was not likely to survive the injuries.

"He has potential to be anything and somebody just – we don't know if he's going to me it now. It's not about anything. It's about mother's not teaching their sons the value of life. That's what it's about. It's about babies killing babies," the victim's cousin, Cameron Preston, said.

The second shooting happened in the 1400-block of Union Avenue around 1:25 a.m.

A 17-year-old male was shot multiple times in an apartment on the first floor. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment and was last listed in critical condition.

However, he is expected to survive the injuries.

No arrests have been made in either case and anyone with information is asked to call police.

Identities of the victims have also not been released.
