Crews Pull Body From Allegheny River

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police are investigating after a body was pulled from the Allegheny River Friday morning.

According to officials at the scene, the body of an African-American male was pulled from the river just before 7 a.m. near The Point.

The identity of the man has not been released at this time, but he is believed to be between 40 and 60 years of age.

It is also believed that the body had been in the river for about four days.

Homicide detectives are handling the investigation.
