Dr. Will Clower stopped by Pittsburgh Today Live on Monday to show off his recipe for peach pie!

Will Clower’s Peach Pie Recipe

  • 4 cups sliced fresh peaches
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 3 Tbsp flour
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp butter

This is so simple to do:

First, heat your oven to about 425.

While that’s heating up, turn your peaches and lemon juice into a large mixing bowl. Then mix in the sugar, flour and cinnamon until it is all uniform. It’s that easy.

Then, you just put the pie crust bottom into the pie plate, then turn the peachy mixture of yumminess into pie plate, and dot with a couple bits of butter around. Cover with top crust, press the top and bottom edges together and cut slits into it.

Edge the pie with a 3-inch strip of aluminum foil to prevent the crust edges from burning. Bake the pie for 30 minutes, remove the aluminum foil, then continue baking for the final 15 minutes. Once the crust is brown and the juice begins to bubble through the slits in crust, it’s done. The total time will be approximately 45 minutes.
