Father, Daughter To Stand Trial For PNC Park Fight

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - A father and daughter will stand trial for a fight at PNC Park during a game back in May.

However, their attorney is blaming it all on a mystery man.

Christopher George, 50, and his 21-year-old daughter, Rachel, attended a preliminary hearing Wednesday morning.

They are facing charges of assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

While the two did not speak with the media, their attorney, Philip DiLucente did.

He's blaming a mystery man for the melee.

George and his daughter allegedly got into a fight with PNC Park security and Pittsburgh Police when she was escorted out of the stadium for smoking.

They say it escalated into a full blown brawl with Rachel jumping on the back of Security Supervisor Joseph Risher. Then, her father reportedly joined in and pushed Risher into a fence.

As a result of the scuffle, Risher lost the tip of his finger.

Pittsburgh Police Sgt. Sean Duffy has a shoulder injury as well.

According to police, Rachel's boyfriend was also involved in the fight.

No one seems to know his name and Dilucente refers to him as the mystery man. He also wants to see the PNC Park video of the incident to prove his point.

For now, the Georges will be going to trial.
