HARRISON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — Police are investigating a near drowning in Harrison Township.

A two-year-old nearly drowned on Garfield Street Friday afternoon.

A neighbor told KDKA-TV that her daughter alerted her to what was happening.

“By the time I had gotten over there, she already had him out of the pool and laying on the ground and she was giving him breaths, so we got him on his side and he was throwing up a lot and everything,” a neighbor said.

The child was taken to Children’s Hospital.

There is no word on the child’s condition.
