4-1-Zoo: Three More Panthers Named To Watch Lists

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) -- Three more Pitt Panthers were named to college football pre-season watch lists Tuesday.

First, junior defensive lineman Aaron Donald was named to the Rotary Lombardi Award watch list, which is awarded to the nation's top defensive lineman or linebacker each season.

It's the third watch list to bear Donald's name so far, as he's also been nominated for the Outland Trophy and the Chuck Bednarik Award.

Donald recorded 47 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, 11 quarterback hurries and a forced fumble in 2011. He was seventh in the country in sacks per game (0.85).

Wide receivers Devin Street and Mike Shanahan were named to the Biletnikoff Award watch list, which is awarded to the nation's top receiver each year.

Shanahan, a senior, pulled in 39 passes for 493 yards last season while starting all 13 games for the Panthers. Street, a junior, had 53 receptions and 754 yards to lead the team in both categories while scoring two touchdowns.
