Lawrence Co. Crash Leaves 1 Dead

NEW CASTLE (KDKA) – One man was killed after falling asleep behind the wheel in Lawrence County Saturday night.

According to police, the single-vehicle accident happened near the intersection of East Washington Street and Clarence Avenue around 8:07 p.m.

The driver of the vehicle, Matthew Criscito, 22, of New Castle, fell asleep behind the wheel and struck a telephone pole, which caused the vehicle to roll over.

Criscito was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at Jameson Hospital.
