PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A man running across the country in support of veterans made his way to Pittsburgh Wednesday.

Albie Masland is from Carlisle, Pa.

His journey started in California back in March and he has been running across the United States to raise money for the Travis Manion Foundation, a charity designed to help veterans return to civilian life.

“First and foremost, it’s my way of saying thank you; and hopefully it will inspire other people to go out and make an effort to say thank you to veterans,” said Masland. “You know, they serve our country, they sacrifice a lot for our country, and when they come back, we should be here to support them.”

From here, Masland will continue running to the East Coast, and make his final stop in Washington, D.C.
