PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A fire did significant damage to a duplex in Fayette County early this morning.

According to the Herald Standard, a family of six was forced out of their home on East Fairview Avenue because of the overnight blaze.

The Herald Standard reports authorities believe the fire started in an unoccupied section of the duplex.

The family living on the other side was able to get out safely.

Officials are investigating what caused the fire.
