CONCORD TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — A 22-year-old is dead and four other people were injured when their vehicle went over a hillside and slammed into a tree in Butler County Sunday morning.

The crash happened just before 10:15 a.m. at the intersection of Oneida Valley Road and Dessa Lane in Concord Township.

State police in Butler County have identified the victim as 22-year-old Zacharie Parker of Butler.

According to investigators, Parker was a passenger in the Nissan Quest that was headed northbound when the driver, identified as 51-year-old Patricia Best, swerved to avoid a downed tree branch.

State police say that’s when Best lost control; the vehicle then slid across the southbound lane and went down a hillside and hit a tree.

Authorities say Best suffered major injuries in the crash.

The three other people who were hurt have been identified as 38-year-old Michael Davis, 35-year-old Jeremy Stuper and 23-year-old Stephanie Codispot. Stuper also suffered major injuries, Davis sustained moderate injuries and Codispot suffered minor injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
