Electrical Problem Sends Fire Crews To Downtown Building

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- An electrical problem sent firefighters to a building in Downtown Pittsburgh Sunday night.

The incident happened between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. at the structure known as the Investment Building in the 200-block of Fourth Avenue.

According to initial reports from officials, water from Sunday's storms apparently came into contact with an electrical breaker box in the stairwell between the sixth and seventh floors.

There was some smoke and a loud explosion noise, but no one was injured.

However, one woman became stranded on the 21st floor of the building.

Firefighters were able to rescue that woman. There is no word on her condition.
