Woman, Grandson Recovering After Overnight House Fire

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- A woman and her grandson are recovering after fire broke out at their Beaver County home Wednesday night.

The fast-moving fire broke out around 11:30 p.m. at the wood-framed structure home along Route 288 in Franklin Township.

Authorities say the people living inside the home appear to be hoarders, which reportedly helped to fuel the fire because of how many things were inside.

The names of the woman and her grandson have not been released.

Both reportedly suffered smoke inhalation and were taken to a hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment. There is no word on their conditions.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause.
