Police Using Sonar To Locate Missing Butler Co. Boater

MORAINE STATE PARK (KDKA) – Police are continuing to search for a boater who went missing early Sunday morning in Butler County.

State police are now using sonar equipment to find the body of Matthew Parys, 42, of New Kensington in Lake Arthur at Moraine State Park.

According to police, he was fishing with three friends when he jumped from their boat and did not resurface.

Police said the man was not wearing a life vest.
