Photos Of Murrysville Bank Robber Released

MURRYSVILLE (KDKA) -- It's been more than 24 hours since a man carried out a violent robbery at the First Niagara Bank in Murrysville and today the FBI has released surveillance photos of the suspect.

The pictures show a man entering the First Niagara Bank in the Walnut Hollow Plaza on Route 22 just after 9 a.m. Monday.

"Once inside the bank, he displayed a small-caliber handgun and ordered the bank employees to the ground and subsequently made away with at this point an undetermined amount of cash," Murrysville Police Chief Tom Seefeld said.

The employees were forced into a back room while the suspect gathered cash.

He then left out a back door where more surveillance pictures show that he's a middle-aged white man with a skinny build.

He was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and dark pants at the time of the robbery. Investigators believe he fled in a silver or gray colored sedan.

Investigators are currently retrieving video, which they hope to release soon.

If you recognize the suspect or have information about the robbery, you should contact the FBI or Murrysville police.
