PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) — Recently acquired right fielder Travis Snider will return to the Pirates’ starting lineup when the Bucs open a three-game series in St. Louis Friday night. He will bat second.

Snider, who had missed time due to hamstring tightness, will be making just his second start since last Saturday. After coming over from the Toronto Blue Jays in a July 31 trade that sent pitcher Brad Lincoln out of town, he has hit .333 with a .370 on-base and .476 slugging percentage in 16 games, with one homer and five RBI.

Here is the rest of the Pirate lineup for Friday:

RF Starling Marte (.247)
LF Travis Snider (.333)
CF Andrew McCutchen (.359)
1B Garrett Jones (.283)
C Michael McKenry (.276)
3B Pedro Alvarez (.235)
SS Clint Barmes (.221)
2B Jordy Mercer (.171)
P James McDonald (.146)

“Pirates Pregame” with Dan Zangrilli and Kevin Orie begins at 6:40 Friday on your flagship home of the Bucs, SportsRadio 93.7 The Fan.
