Troy Hill Man Accused Of Threatening Neighbors

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A Troy Hill man was arrested on charges he choked a woman, pointed a gun at her husband and threatened to cut her son's head off.

The alleged victim says Mark Kainz walked onto her porch along Lowrie Street Thursday night, began choking her and then left.

She says he came back with a shotgun and a sword.

"And he had a gun and he said, 'I'm just going to blow your [expletive] brains out," McCool Persinger said.

He allegedly threatened the woman's husband with the gun, then swung the sword at their son.

"If I give the cops any information, he'll cut my head off," Dustin Payne, 11, said.

Neighbors tell a different story about Kainz.

"He's a good guy – he's got his issues, he does got issues, but he's a good guy," Terri Simmons said. "He wouldn't hurt anybody. He wouldn't hurt any children."

Kainz was taken to jail. Police seized a .22 caliber rifle from his home.
