Hit & Run Driver Crashes Through Somerset Co. Home's Garage

STOYSTOWN (KDKA) – Police are investigating after a vehicle crashed into a Somerset County home and fled the scene early Sunday morning.

According to state police, a black Audi was traveling west on Pompey Hill Road in Stoystown around 12:40 a.m., when the driver lost control.

The vehicle failed to stop at the intersection of State Route 281 and Pompey Hill Road, became airborne and landed in the yard of a home in the 2900-block of Stoystown Road.

The vehicle then crashed into the home's attached garage and came out on the other side.

At that time, the driver continued on and fled the area via State Route 261.

The residence suffered major structural damage as a result of the crash.

No arrests have been made and anyone with information is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police at (814)-445-4104.
