PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) — Some of his Steeler teammates have reportedly pointed to this weekend, following their exhibition game in Buffalo, as a return date for restricted free agent Mike Wallace. On Wednesday afternoon “Seibel, Starkey & Miller” turned to Jim Wexell of Steel City Insider to assess the latest word on Wallace.

Wexell talked about how the news has affected the offense, while also breaking down some of the position battles taking place at this year’s training camp, including the scramble to replace injured running back Rashard Mendenhall.

“I saw him in pads, which surprised me,” Wexell said of Mendenhall. “It’s as though the Steelers have planned it perfectly, with everybody coming back healthy in time except their fullback.”
