NEW CASTLE (KDKA) — Police are investigating an overnight shooting that left a man and woman injured in Lawrence County.

The shooting happened just after midnight at the corner of Forest Street and Pearl Street in New Castle.

According to emergency officials, a woman was shot in the chest and stomach and a man suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder.

Both were flown to a hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment.

There’s been no word on their conditions.

So far, there’s also no word on whether there have been any arrests in the case.
