Closed Westmoreland Co. Glass Factory Damaged By Fire
JEANNETTE (KDKA) – An abandoned glass factory in Westmoreland County went up in flames early Sunday morning.
According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the fire broke out around 2:30 a.m. at the Jeannette Glass Factory on Bullitt Avenue in Jeannette.
The initial fire was put out, but it rekindled around 8:30 a.m.
The plant closed in 1983, but it is believed that demolition work is the cause of the fire.
There are no reported injuries.
