Wave Pool Worker Allegedly Showed Pornographic Photo To Teen

MONROEVILLE (KDKA) -- A concession operator at Boyce Park Wave Pool is in jail after he allegedly showed a teenager a pornographic photo.

Allegheny County Police say Sheldon Morris showed a 15-year-old male swimmer the pornographic photo of himself on Saturday.

"It'd be unacceptable behavior around anybody, but moreso than around children," Allegheny County Police Supt. Charles Moffatt said.

Police say it happened just before closing. According to an affidavit, Morris called the boy over while he was thumbing through pictures on his cell phone.

He then pointed to a female guard and asked the boy a question.

"He showed him a photo and the boy said it was a photo of his penis," Moffatt said.

The boy's parents contacted county police who upon investigating charged Morris with disseminating pornography to a minor and corruption of a minor.

"There's a lot of families that go to the parks as you well know and we try to police them as best we could," Moffatt said.

Morris was arraigned on charges in Municipal Court Monday and is in the Allegheny County Jail in lieu of $10,000 straight bond.
