PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — One person was injured when gunfire broke out in Downtown Pittsburgh overnight following a reported altercation at a nearby bar.

Authorities say security guards called police officers to the corner of 6th Street and Penn Avenue near Heinz Hall just before 2 a.m.

According to initial reports, the man who was wounded in the shooting had been inside a bar on 6th Street just before the shots rang out.

The bar owner said the man had allegedly gotten into an altercation with another patron and three security guards had to escort him out of the establishment. Shortly afterward, the shooting happened.

Police say the victim suffered a gunshot wound to the foot. He was able to get himself to a local hospital.

Police continue to investigate the incident. So far, no arrests have been made.
