Panther Hollow: Taglianetti Expects YSU To 'Come Out Swinging'

PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) — When asked about Youngstown State's roster packed with returning starters, redshirt senior safety Andrew Taglianetti did not hesitate to say the Penguins are not a team to overlook.

"I think all 1-AA teams can compete at the bigger level, and they just don't get the credit for it...we just need to make sure we aren't laxidasical, because they are going to come out swinging," Taglianetti said.

The Penguins will also bring speed and experience that Taglianetti said will be a challenge, but he thinks Pitt has a plan in place to take care of it. Meanwhile, he says the home opener on Saturday is a chance for the Panthers to test-drive a spread offense that he expects to see all season long.

Taglianetti also discussed senior leadership and his own leadership role on the team for newcomers.
