PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) – In 1991, the United Way of Allegheny County created the Day of Caring, and since then, it has spread to communities nationwide and around the world, and mobilized hundreds of thousands of volunteers!

This year’s event will take place Sept. 5-7, and some big names including the Pittsburgh Steelers will be part of it.

KDKA-AM’s Larry Richert talks to United Way of Allegheny County President Bob Nelkin and Steelers President Art Rooney II about details for this year’s event.
