Bucs' Struggles A Team Effort?

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - Pirates broadcaster and former pitcher Bob Walk joined hosts of  The Fan Morning Show for his weekly spot "Walk on Wednesday."

In the midst of a five-game losing skid for the Bucs. Bob didn't shy away from saying that things look very bleak for the team right now.

"They're not doing anything to make you think that they're all of a sudden going to win five or six straight games," Walk explained.

He said he felt that the core players still believe in this team despite understandably having some doubts, but pointed out that it's always difficult to get a good read on the mood in a clubhouse during September.

He broke down some of the recent struggles for Brock Holt, including his issues with turning double plays.

"Holt is waiting on the ball at second base a little too long for my taste," he explained. "He has to go and get some of those balls so the ball isn't taking so long to get to him."

Bob also did his best to make sense of how the Bucs are collapsing for the second year in a row.
