Steelers Home Opener Will Test North Shore Connector

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Sunday's Steelers game and the Pitt game on Saturday will be two big tests for the North Shore Connector.

"We haven't really experienced a regular season, full attendance Steelers game with the 'T' service on the North Shore yet," Port Authority spokesman Jim Ritchie said.

The last time the Steelers played a regular season game, "T" service didn't run to the North Shore.

The Port Authority says your best bet is to get there early.

"What you don't want to do is wait until the last minute to try and get to the game," Ritchie said.

When the game is over, go to the elevated Allegheny station where the cars will be empty.

They'll be filled before they reach the North Side station near PNC Park.

"We do have a lot of extra service planned for the event," he said. "Those cars are just going to keep coming one after the next and we will clear the event. It might take a little bit of time."
