PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Emergency crews are at the 10th Street Bridge where a body was discovered in the Monongahela River.

A kayaker spotted the body along the shoreline on the city side of the river Thursday.

Crews at the scene tell KDKA’s Ralph Iannotti that it appears the body has been there for some time.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner has identified the body as 20-year-old Ronnel McGinnis, of Pittsburgh.

The results of an autopsy are pending.
