Ed Bouchette Recaps A 27-10 Steelers Victory
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - The Steelers moved to 1-1 on the young season with a 27-10 win over the New York Jets on Sunday. To recap, Steelers beat writer for the Post-Gazette, and 93.7 The Fan Steelers Insider, Ed Bouchette spoke with The Fan Morning Show on Monday.
Ed was impressed with how the Steelers' offense controlled the ball for the second straight game. They may have gotten burned by Peyton Manning in the opener, but the offense continues to have long-sustained drives.
Some have questioned Mike Wallace's level of commitment as he negotiates a contract. His play for the first two weeks of the season has proven that he is all-in with his work ethic, and is willing to do what it takes to win.
The defense held up well despite injuries to Troy Polamalu and James Harrison.
Ed doesn't think the Steelers will play it conservative heading into Oakland, and then the bye week. Rather than give him two weeks off, Ed says that if either player can play, they will play.
