Police Investigating McKeesport Home Invasion
MCKEESPORT (KDKA) – Two people are recovering after a home invasion in McKeesport Monday night.
According to police, the shooting happened at 1817 Manor Street shortly after 9:30 p.m.
“What we’ve been able to piece together to this point is that the man that was shot was in a residence that was forcibly entered by one, maybe two, other people who were not invited guests,” Allegheny County Police Lt. Andrew Schurman said.
Police are not sure if the victim was the target or was just defending the residence.
A female, who also lived at the home, was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.
“The male shot suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local area hospital, where he’s listed in stable condition. The female did suffer a rather large laceration to her leg, so she was also taken to the hospital for stitches,” Lt. Schurman said.
It is believed the female was injured while trying to escape from the gunfire.
No arrests have been made and anyone with information is asked to call police.
