With Columbus Day coming up, Pittsburgh can celebrate Columbus’s trip across the Atlantic like never before.

Hand-built replicas of two of his ships, the Nina and Pinta, are docked on Pittsburgh’s North Shore, near Jerome Bettis’s Grille 36.

The ships are open to the public every day from Sept. 21 through Oct. 3 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, $6 for children ages five through 16, and children four and under are free. No reservations are necessary.
