PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) — The Pittsburgh Steelers-Oakland Raiders matchups of the 1970s are still legendary, and former Steelers PR man Joe Gordon joins Sportsradio 93-7 The Fan’s Ron Cook to stroll down memory lane.

Joe notes that the key game of that Steelers-Raiders rivalry wasn’t the 1972 Immaculate Reception game, but the 1974 AFC Championship Game in Oakland.

Joe also explores the relationship between the Rooneys and Al Davis, and notes some of the wackier moments of the rivalry, some of which actually happened in a court of law.

Joe also take a moment to remember NFL Films pioneer Steve Sabol.
