Keisel Takes The Fall After Steelers Fall Apart

OAKLAND (93-7 THE FAN) -- There were other, more obvious culprits in their last-second Week 3 loss at Oakland, but Steelers defensive lineman Brett Keisel took full ownership of the poor play that resulted in the Raiders' comeback.

"As a leader of the defense, I'm going to take responsibility. There were several things I did today that helped them, so I'm going to take the heat on that, because I deserve it," Keisel said after the 34-31 setback Sunday. "I messed up some things that resulted in touchdowns, so I'm going to own up to it, get better, and learn from it."

After falling behind early, the Raiders tied the game 7-7 on a 64-yard touchdown run from Darren McFadden. An encroachment penalty against Keisel near the Steelers' goal line led to the first of three touchdown passes by Carson Palmer.

"If an offense scores 31 points, you should win the game," Keisel said.
