DERRY TWP. (KDKA) – An early Monday morning accident in Westmoreland County left part of Route 22 temporarily closed in both directions.

According to emergency dispatchers, a four-vehicle accident happened near the intersection with Stone Jug Road around 6 a.m.

It is unknown how many people may be injured, but one person was reportedly trapped in a vehicle.

The cause of the crash is also unknown at this time.

The road has since reopened.
