Greg Brown Breaks Down Front Office, 20-Year Streak

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) -- Pirates Announcer Greg Brown joined Seibel, Starkey and Miller on Sports Radio 93.7 The FAN to give us his thoughts on the end of this Pirates season.

We conducted essentially an exit interview with Brown asking him a variety of questions about how the season went.  One thing we focused on was the players reaction to the trade deadline moves the organization made and if they feel as though the front office did enough to help them win.  Brown said he hasn't polled all the players on the moves made but, "many of them, off the record, would say they didn't do enough."

Brown also went into the job security of the front office, and if change is coming after the second consecutive late season collapse.

We wrapped things up with Brown discussing the Chipper Jones farewell tour that has made its way to Pittsburgh, and the Miami Marlins giving Adam Greenberg an at bat in tonight's game despite him being out of the major leagues since 2005.

The Pirates conclude the 2012 season against the Atlana Braves at PNC Park Wednesday afternoon at 12:35, with Pirates Preview with Dan Zangrilli and Kevin Orie beginning at 11:10 A.M., on your flagship home of the Bucs, 93.7 The Fan.
