Neighbors Mourn Trooper Killed In South Beaver Crash

BEAVER FALLS (KDKA) -- Neighbors are comforting each other after learning of the accident that killed State Trooper Blake Coble in South Beaver.

They can't comprehend the tragedy.

"Shocked and very upset for the family because they have two small children and I just don't even know how to feel about it," Joyce Stricler, a neighbor, said.

"It's just heartbreaking," adds Tami Riggle. "I mean, you just couldn't meet any nicer people than them."

Coble was just 48 years old – the father of a 6-year-old daughter and 8-year-old son. His wife, Brenda, is a police dispatcher at the same barracks where he worked.

His neighbors in Beaver Falls couldn't say enough about him.

"When we found out this morning, we just fell apart," Bill Riggle, a neighbor, said. "Just a real nice guy."

"Blake was just such a nice family man," Tami said. "He just absolutely adored his wife and his kids and he would just do anything in the world that he could for anyone."

The Cobles planned to do some traveling once Blake retired in three months. Now, all those plans have been erased – gone in an instant.

"I'm just going to keep them in my prayers," Stricler said. "I mean, I feel horrible."
