Women's Steelers Fashions To Debut At Style Lounge

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Showing pride for the Steelers through fashion has not always been easy for female fans.

But that's about to change with the release of the NFL 's new line of fashions for women.

"Forty-five percent of the NFL fan base is women," Steerlers Style stylist Ariel Lawrence said. "So it seemed logical to create a line of clothing for women."

The line includes pajama pants, ruffly nightgowns and tops featuring studded and sparkly Steelers logos.

"You can wear it to church, you can wear it to work, like especially with all the new stuff," said Mindy Kendi who won a contest as the most fashionable Steelers fan. "With some of the rhinestones and stuff, you can dress it up, dress it down. It's just great and it's very feminine."

Saturday and Sunday at Heinz Hall, between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., fans can see the debut of the new collection and shop.

There will also be a fashion show Friday night to kick off the weekend Style Lounge event.

Fashion designer and wife of Steeler's player Mike Tomlin, Kiya Tomlin, will debute some of her new designs at the fashion show. Pittsburgh-based retailer, American Eagle Outfitters and NFL Nike will also have designs on the runway.

Other festivities include black and gold manicures, a photo both and New Era will be fitting people for the Steelers 59Fifty baseball cap.
