PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) — Being an undrafted free agent is something many eventual NFL stars have had to fight. Steelers guard Ramon Foster, therefore, has no trouble staying motivated, and the team’s Week 6 contest should only add more fuel to that fire.

Foster is heading back home this week as the Steelers (2-2) visit the Tennessee Titans (1-4) Thursday night, and he shared the incredible back story that led him to pro football.

“My mentality has always been, if you get me, I’m gonna get your four times,” Foster told 93.7 The Fan’s Joe Starkey. “I’m always trying to impress the guy right next to me.

“Chris Hoke…Brett Keisel…always told me you’ve got to play with a chip on your shoulder.”

Possibly the biggest challenge to Ramon’s job could come from first round pick David DeCastro when he gets back from injury this year, and he tells us what his thought process is going into that positional battle:

Kickoff between the Steelers and Titans is set for 8:00 P.M. on Pittsburgh’s CW, with Pittsburgh Gameday featuring Starkey and Josh Miller, live from Jergel’s in Warrendale, beginning at 6:00 on SportsRadio 93.7 The Fan.
