Police Arrest 2 After Finding Mentally Disabled Man Dead

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police have arrested two men after a man who was mentally disabled was found dead in his Harrison Township home.

Detectives are investigating the death of 61-year-old Ronald Duff after he was found by family members sitting on the couch inside his house at 112 Blue Ridge Avenue.

He moved into the house several months ago after living in a senior care facility.

Duff's body was found showing significant signs of physical trauma, including cuts and bruising, which prompted the medical examiner's office to label his death as suspicious.

Authorities say Duff had also been spray painted and doused with water.

Duff had also suffered a stroke several years ago and had limited mental capacity.

Larry Duff, the victim's brother and a 22-year-old man named Jason Link are facing aggravated and simple assault and neglect of a care dependent person. More serious charges could be filed after an autopsy.

Authorities say Duff died sometime Sunday night or early Monday.

They also say his body was moved around the house repeatedly after he died.

Duff's brother Larry and Link are both in an Allegheny County Jail.
