Westmoreland Co. Man Found With Four Gunshot Wounds

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A man is in the hospital after he was found on the side of the road with four gunshot wounds in Westmoreland County.

Police say 18-year-old Joshua Grimm of Mt. Pleasant is in critical, but stable condition.

He was shot four times in the upper torso after a drug deal went bad around 11 p.m. last night, according to authorities. None of his critical organs were hit.

"There was an altercation between the defendant and the victim," a Mt. Pleasant police officer said. "It became physical, at one point the defendant pulled out a handgun and fired multiple rounds into the victim."

He was found lying on the side of the road on Spruce Street in Mt. Pleasant Township.

Facebook assisted police in catching the suspect Thursday morning. They used tips from the social networking site to track down 18-year-old Keenan Frye.

Frye allegedly shot Grimm after the two men got into an argument -- he was later found walking along Highway 31, where he was arrested.

Police say they found a gun, marijuana and scales used to weigh drugs in his backpack.

Neighbors say Frye is well known for all the wrong reasons.

"He's been in a lot of trouble all of his life and he threatened to shoot my boyfriend," neighbor Christine Davis said.

This is not the first run-in police have had with Frye. Authorities say Frye was just charged Wednesday with simple assault and harassment for incidents that took place in September.

He is currently being held in the Westmoreland County Jail.
