PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police officers arrested a man and seized 8 pounds of marijuana in a search Thursday in the Hill District.

Officers arrested 35-year-old Edward Webb in the 2200-block of Bedford Avenue.

The house became a target after police spent several months surveying the area.

Once police entered the house, they found 8 pounds of marijuana, scales, a bullet-proof vest and more than $23,000 in cash.

They also found a .40 calibur handgun that was reported stolen from the home of a Pittsburgh police officer in February.

Webb was taken to the Allegheny County Jail and is charged with five counts, including possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and convicted felon not to possess a firearm.
