Garfield Fatal Shooting Suspect To Stand Trial
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A man accused in a fatal shooting in Garfield has been ordered to stand trial.
Brandon Sewell, 21, has been ordered to stand trial in shooting death of 16-year-old Ne'Ondre Harbour.
A witness, who prosecutors asked us not to identify, named Sewell as the gunman and the witness may have actually been the target.
Prosecutor Mark Tranquilli blamed the incident on "teenage neighborhood beefs."
A dispute between two families, who didn't get along, allegedly escalated into numerous gunshots being fired into the porch and windows of a Garfield home on Oct. 14.
The victim's mother was too emotional to remain in the courtroom to hear testimony.
The suspect has prior felonies and was not licensed to carry a firearm.
