Truck Crashes Into Store, Takes Off Without Any Loot

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) --  A bizarre crash took place Friday.

Someone plowed through the front of a liquor store and left without taking anything.

It's all caught on the surveillance video.

There's a truck, which police think is a red or maroon Ford Ranger, slam into the front of the liquor store in the Latrobe 30 plaza.

The truck crashed through the window and knocked over merchandise.

It hit some shopping baskets with so much force they went flying to the back of the store.

The crash happened around 3:30 a.m. when the store was closed.

Police aren't sure if it was an accident or intentional, but say the driver didn't try to steal anything.

He simply backed up and left the scene.

"There was thousands of dollars in damage, not only to the building's exterior, but to the inventory inside by the debris and just different items being scattered across the store," said State Trooper Steve Limani.

State police are asking anyone with information to come forward – including mechanics who may have worked on the truck. Tips can remain anonymous.
