13-Year-Old Boy Struck By Vehicle In East Liberty

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Emergency officials say a 13-year-old boy was injured Friday afternoon when he was struck by a vehicle in East Liberty.

The pedestrian accident happened just before 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of North Negley Avenue and Baywood Street.

"He didn't even look," said Tracy Dawkins, a witness. "He just ran across the street and there was a car that was coming down the street on Negley and just, bam."

According to emergency officials, the boy reportedly suffered head injuries.

There's no word on his condition, but he was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
