Hyundai and Kia are about to pay out millions after it was discovered the companies overstated the gas mileage on several models.

The United States government investigated after consumers complained about getting different mileage than the company claimed.

In some cases, the fuel-economy figures are off by one to six miles per gallon.

The companies are set to reimburse consumers, which could cost them more than $79 million a year.
