PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Pirates catcher Michael McKenry stopped by The Fan studios Friday morning to catch up on his offseason with Vinnie and Cook.

Michael tells the guys that he only took a few days off before he started training for the 2013 season.  Michael says that it was a disappointing end to the season, but he and the team are pushing forward.

Michael also discusses the attention that he received during the season.  He says that it was a very humbling experience, and it gave him a lot of confidence.

Michael talks about the factors involved in trying to throw out runners, and says that he will be better at that in 2013.

Michael wraps up the interview by giving any skeptical fans a reason why they should look forward to 2013.
